Woodrow “Gene” McConnell, 69, of Wheeling, WV, passed away Thursday, September 8, 2022, in Wheeling Hospital.

Gene was born May 9, 1953, in Wheeling, a son of the late Neva Louise Stein. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his wife, Susan Lucille (Green) McConnell; a sister, Linda Goodwin; and a grandson, Brandon Richmond.

Gene is survived by his daughter, Patty (Charles) Richmond; a half-brother, Bill (Pam) Goodwin; and a grandson, Charles Richmond, Jr., all of Wheeling.

Friends will be received from 6 pm until 8 pm, Friday, September 16, 2022, at the CARE Funeral Home, South Wheeling Chapel, 3828 Jacob Street, Wheeling.
