William F. Fraley, 83 of Salineville, OH passed away at Salem Regional Medical Center on Thursday, February 8, 2018 following an extended illness.
He was born in Moorehead, Kentucky on November 28, 1934 a son to the late Boone L. and Viola (Smith) Fraley. Living most of his life in this area, he was a graduate of Irondale High School and worked Maintenance for Ohio Edison for 19 years before retiring in 1991. William was also employed at Dando’s Brickyard before Ohio Edison and enjoyed doing yard work, gardening, woodworking and restoring his 55 Chevy Truck and absolutely loved spending time with his greatest joy, his great grandchildren.
He is survived at home by his wife Joyce (Jenkins) Fraley whom he married March 8, 1956; a son: Mark Fraley and his wife Patricia of Salineville, OH; a daughter: Brenda S. Rose and her husband Scott of Salineville, OH; two brothers: Donald Fraley and his wife Janet of Irondale, OH and Lonnie Fraley and his wife Bonnie of Florida; four grandchildren: Evan and Stephanie Fraley, Jessica and Mike Chiodo, Benjamin and Miranda Rose and Jacob Rose and his fiancé Rachel Olson along with three great grandchildren: Brooke Chiodo, Noah Chiodo and Grant Rose.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by seven sisters and three brothers.
Services will be held at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at 2:30 PM with Tanta Luckhardt Hendricks officiating. Burial will take place in Highlandtown Cemetery.
Family will be present to receive friends at the Calcutta funeral home on Sunday, February 11, 2018 from 12:30 PM up until the time of services at 2:30 PM.
Memorial Contributions may be made in Mr. Fraley’s name to the Bethel Presbyterian Church Deacon’s Fund.
