Virginia Mae (Duke) Edwards, “Ginnie”, 77, of Wheeling, WV, formerly of Marietta, OH, passed away, Sunday, January 3, 2021, in Reynolds Memorial Hospital, Glen Dale, WV.

Ginnie was born May 15, 1943 in Williamstown, WV, a daughter of the late Howard and Juanita (Phelps) Duke. She was a retired dietary aide for Hamar Place Nursing Home, Marietta; and a member of the Open Door Baptist Church, Marietta.

Ginnie is survived by her significant other, John Martin; two children, Deanna Midcap (Joe Goff) of Wheeling and Dan Edwards of Marietta; two sisters, Kate Taylor of Marietta and Julia Ward of Wheeling; a brother, David (Cecelia) Duke of Cleveland, OH; five grandchildren, Jennifer, David, Sierra, and Michael and Reva, and their mother, Missy Edgell; and five great-grandchildren, Tregan, Wyatt, William, Bentley and Harley.

In accordance with Ginnie’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to WASCO Workshop, Inc., 340 Muskingum Drive, Marietta, OH 45750.
