Vera M. Ash

Vera M. Ash, 92 of East Liverpool, passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at East Liverpool City Hospital following a lengthy illness.

She was born in East Liverpool on July 6, 1924 a daughter of the late Clarence R. and B. Marie (Rose) Timmons. Living her entire life in this area, Vera was a 1942 graduate of East Liverpool High School and worked in the Bisque Warehouse at The Homer Laughlin China Company for 39 years before retiring in 1989. She attended the 2^nd Church of Christ was a member of the Builders Class and Campground Seniors. Vera enjoyed sitting at her kitchen window looking for deer and watching the birds eat out of her bird feeders.

She is survived by a son: Charles R. Ash Jr. of Lore City, OH; a daughter: Darlene K. Ash of Boardman, OH; a brother: Ronald Timmons of Hammondsville, OH; three grandchildren: Jessica Ash and Justin Hare, Bryan and Jill Ash and Elizabeth Ash and Eric Davis and one great granddaughter: Sophia Hare.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Charles R. Ash Sr. whom she married July 6, 1948; five brothers: John Timmons, Allen Timmons, Donald Timmons, Harry Timmons and Harold Timmons and three sisters: Ruth Timmons, Verla Stock her twin sister and Ruby Timmons.

Services will be held at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 1 PM with Roben Carter of the church officiating. Burial will follow in Columbiana County Memorial Park.

Family will be present to receive friends at the Calcutta funeral home on Saturday, May 13, 2017 from 11 AM up until the time of service at 1 PM.   In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make donations in Vera’s name to the Second Church of Christ: 1302 Pennsylvania Avenue, East Liverpool, Ohio 43920
