Vera C. Russell

Russell, Vera C., 90, of Wheeling, W.Va., passed away Saturday, January 5, 2019, in Cameron Nursing Home.
Vera was born June 15, 1928, in Wheeling, a daughter of the late Earl and Ada Lee Braun. She was a Christian by faith; and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Post # 3, Moundsville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Paul Russell; two sons, Pete & David Russell; a grandson, Michael Runyon; a sister, Vivian Russell; and six brothers, Manfred, Earl, Roy, Edward, Melvin and Paul Braun.
Vera is survived by a daughter, Judy Runyon of Moundsville; two sons, Paul (Mary Lou) Russell of Tiltonsville, Ohio and Dennis (Michelle) Russell of Wheeling; a brother, Ray (Darleen) Braun of Glen Dale; 11 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 11 am until time of funeral service at 2 pm, Tuesday, January 15, 2019, at the CARE Funeral Home, 3828 Jacob Street, Wheeling. Interment will follow in Mount Zion Cemetery, Wheeling.
