Gifts & Memorial Donations

Thomas Joseph “Tom” Billcheck, 50, of Follansbee, WV passed away Saturday, January 2, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer.  Tom was born on November 5, 1970  in Weirton, WV, the son of Joseph C. Billcheck and the late Joan Patricia Sharrow Billcheck.  He attended Brooke High School and graduated with the Class of 1990.

Tom formerly worked as an auto body technician at Steel Valley Auto.  Tom enjoyed working on cars, especially installing stereo systems with his buddies.  He also enjoyed all things outdoors.  He was an avid fisherman and bow hunter.  He also enjoyed target shooting, racing RC cars, BMX, and motocross.

Above all things, Tom loved his family.  He enjoyed drawing and making his loved ones laugh and smile.  He could often be found spending quality time with his son, nephew and grandchildren.  After his diagnosis with cancer, he always expressed his desire for more family time.  He understood the importance of being present in the lives of those he loved and never missed an opportunity to share his time and heart with others.    Tom was a friend everyone would be blessed to have.  He genuinely cared for those around him.  He had the ability to sense when someone he loved was in need, and he did everything in his power to provide for that need.  His selflessness will be a great loss to all.

Left behind to cherish his memory is: his loving companion of over twenty years, Christine Jenkins, who survives him at home; his father, Joseph Billcheck, of Minerva, OH;   His three children: Andy McAdams, of Wintersville, Anastasia (George Dye) Jenkins, of Steubenville, and Marlene (Harold) Glasure, of Follansbee.  He is also survived by two siblings: David Allen Vaughn, of Bonaire, GA and Martha Jane Welsh, of Salineville; four grandchildren, and his nephew, Paul “Michael” Welsh Jr, of Salineville, OH.

Along with his mother, whom he adored, Tom was preceded in death by his sister, Laurie Ann  Vaughn Blaschak.
