Steven Allen Althiser, 38, of Wellsville, OH passed away suddenly Saturday, December 9, 2017
He was born in East Liverpool on November 20th, 1979, the son of Michael Althiser and Barbara (McCune) Recek. Steve was a 1999 graduate of Wellsville high school, and a member of the wrestling team. He worked as a laborer for Rockerz Inc, and attended Living Well Church.
Steve was a people person, and never met a stranger in his life. His favorite greeting was “What up?” and favorite goodbye was “Alright, love ya.” He enjoyed spending his time watching mixed martial arts, taking care of his animals, and entertaining his friends on social media.
Steve was a very honest, opinionated person who was completely comfortable in his own skin. He had no problem discussing his life, feelings, actions, or thoughts. He never cared what anyone thought of him, and could be hard to take at first, but after a short period of time his heart of gold shined.
Steve was a protector, would do anything for those he loved, and was just a mama’s boy at his core. There will never be another Steven Allen Althiser and anyone who knew him would agree. His greatest attribute was that there was nothing fake about him, he was unapologetically himself and he let the world see that every day. He will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Gary Althiser of Wellsville, OH; his step father, Joseph Recek; maternal grandparents: Byron & Martha O’Neill; paternal grandparents: Marvin & Lillian Althiser and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Services will be held at the Wellsville Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 6:00 PM with Pastor Dirk Hall of The Living Well Church officiating.
