Steve Narick 76 of Cameron, WV passed away March 18 2023 at Wheeling Hospital. He will be sadly missed by family, friends and his two dogs, Wolfy and Porky.

Steve was born in Morgantown, WV, the son of Steven and Margaret Narick and was raised in Moundsville, WV.

He graduated from Wheeling Central High in 1964 and served in the US Navy for four years. He was a plank owner onboard the USS Ben Franklin (SSBN 640) a FBN nuclear submarine, making four patrols. After his discharge he worked for the Burlington-Northern RailRoad for 35 years until his retirement. While living in the state of Washington he was an avid hunter and trapper.

Steve is survived by his son Thomas (Courtney) Narick and grandson Jacob of Martins Ferry, OH.

He also leaves behind a brother Kevin (Carol) Narick of Wintersville, OH; 4 sisters including Deborah Burdette of Wheeling, WV, Marianne Narick of San Diego, CA, Susan (Roger) Boyd of San Diego, CA and Dr. Christina Narick (Mike) of Mars, PA; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial mass will be held on Monday, March 27, 2023 at 10 am at St. Francis Xavier Church, Moundsville, WV.

    I met Steve when he bought our property at Georgetown. It made me happy that he enjoyed it so much. He loved feeding the birds and deer and showed me his mounted menagerie. Sorry to hear that he is gone.
