Sondra Mumaw

Sondra Rae Mumaw, age 79, passed away at East Liverpool City Hospital on Friday, August 14, 2020 after a brief illness.

Born in East Liverpool on January 17, 1941, Sondra was the daughter of the late Harry Barnes and Wilma June (Hall) Barnes and had lived her entire life in this area.  She was the former owner of Italos Pizza and the Beary Best Donuts in East Liverpool. Prior to that she was employed at the former I.G.A. in Wellsville where she worked as the Head Cashier.

She was a member and Past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star Crystal Chapter 18 and a former Bethel Guardian of Jobs Daughters.  Sondra was also a member of the First United Methodist Church in East Liverpool.

Survivors include her husband, David K. Mumaw of East Liverpool who she married on April 19, 1962.  Her daughter, Iva Anne Mumaw Buck of East Liverpool and two granddaughters, Arrianna Rae Buck and MaitLynn Elizabeth Buck both of East Liverpool.  One brother, Harry “Buddy” Barnes of Florida and three sisters; Joyce Wetzel and Terry Lynn Owens both of Wellsville and Pamela Bauer of East Liverpool.

Private family time was held at the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Home in Calcutta.
