Sally Ann Duck, 78 of Wellsville, Ohio passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at East Liverpool City Hospital, after a brief illness.
She was born in Wellsville on October 24, 1939 a daughter to the late Homer and Hazel (Thomas) Grodhaus. Living all of her life in this area, Sally was a 1957 graduate of Wellsville High School, a homemaker and a dedicated and doting mother and grandmother. She was very involved in school and church functions where she was an Elder of Oak Ridge Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her husband Glenn Duck whom she married June 6, 1958; four daughters: Debra Ewing of Wellsville, OH, Terri Logan, Brenda Hanlon and her companion Kenny Gununski and Glenda Childers and her husband Mark all of East Liverpool, OH; a sister: Shirley Plunket of Wellsville, OH; grandchildren: Brandi Gregg and her husband Robert of Lisbon, OH, Greg Logan Jr. and his wife Rebekah of Victoria, TX, Jacob Logan and his wife Whitney of East Liverpool, OH, James Hanlon of East Liverpool, OH, Crystal Wolfe and her husband John of East Liverpool, OH, Adam Childers of Wellsville, OH and Travis Childers of Kent, OH and nine great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son: Jeffrey Wayne Duck; two brothers: Richard and William Grodhaus; two sisters: June Williams and Elsie Lyle and three great grandchildren: Jimmy Hanlon, Steven Childers and Ethan Ferguson.
Services will be held at the Wellsville Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Monday, June 4, 2018 at 1 PM with Pastor Larry Rose of Northside Community Church officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Family will be present to receive friends at the Wellsville funeral home on Monday, June 4, 2018 from 11 AM up until the time of service at 1 PM.
