Aunt Ruthie loved her family. Every Christmas I was guaranteed new PJS. To this day, I still have Steeler pillow covers she bought me. She loved the Steelers and never would why away from a conversation. I have nothing but fond, loving memories of her and although we only shared letters and Christmas cards the last few years, I thought of her often as she was influential to me in my childhood. We will miss you Aunt Ruthie.

My deepest sympathy for the loss of such a kind individual. Ruthie, as my aunt Mardi Whelan called her, was a true friend and a godsend to not only Mardi, but to so many others. Her infectious laugh and generous heart will be missed.
