Ruth Elizabeth Rodgers Frampton, 99, of Irondale, OH. passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2023 at The Orchards Pepperberry Suites.  She was born on December 1, 1923,in Bethany, WV, the daughter of the late Archer Rodgers and Birdie Rodgers.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters: Ethel, Noami, and Ella; and brothers: Norman, Howard, Andy, Lawrence, and Carl.  She was also preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Stanley Frampton, who passed away on January 16, 2013

A graduate of Bethany High School, Bethany College, and Ohio University, she was a teacher at the former Irondale High School which then moved into Stanton High School, and is now Edison Local, located in Hammondsville, OH.  Ruth taught for 30 years until her retirement in 1979.  In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, writing, and spending time with her family.

Her cherished memories will be remembered by: her sons: Randy (Kathy), Steve (Debbie), and Greg (Tonya); She will also be missed by her eight grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.

Calling hours will be held from 2PM-4PM and 6PM-8PM on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at Care Funeral & Cremation Specialists-Martin Chapel, in Calcutta.  The funeral will be held on Thursday, March 9,2023 at 11AM  with Pastor Don Cochran officiating.  Ruth will be laid to rest at Chestnut Grove Cemetery in Hammondsville.

The family would like to thank the staff at The Orchards for all of their kindness while taking such good care of our mother.
