Rose Michel

Gifts & Memorial Donations

Sister Rose Ann Michel, lovingly referred to as Posy, was granted her angel wings on Sunday July 18, 2021.

She was born the fourth child of six to parents George and Rosalie (Weishaupt) Michel on June 1, 1927.

Posy truly had a heart of gold and lived to serve her community, her friends, her family, and most of all God.

She was a trailblazer, a savior and a force to be reckoned with all at the same time.

After graduating from St John Central High School Posy went on to work for the telephone company as an operator.

Some of her hobbies, at a young age, included motorcycles and carpentry.

She was a reservist in The United States Navy where she served her country honorably.

Immersed in the Catholic community from a very young age she dedicated much of her life to the sisterhood, most notably the Sisters for Christian Community.

Posy loved all of God’s creations equally from the wildest animal to the smallest of visitors.

She strived to be humble and kind, often putting the needs of others before her own.

She really enjoyed time with her family and Sunday dinner was always at the top of her list.

A special memorial Mass will be held at a later date.

Arrangements by the Care Funeral & Cremation Specialists, 204 West Main Street, Saint Clairsville, Ohio.

Memorial contributions will benefit The Belmont County Humane Society by going to “TMCFunding.com”.

Our community's annual International Assembly always had us able to grab some moments to catch up with Rose. What a gentle, inspiring soul with a tender feeling for all creation in need. She always had a story that spoke of her humble generous ways. We treasured those opportunities to connect and felt we prayerfully connected through these her challenging years. Our love and gratitude for you dear Rose. Mary with Mary
