Ronald F. Cooper Sr., 65, of East Liverpool, OH passed away at the Hospice House in Poland, Ohio on Sunday, April 8, 2018 following a 2 year illness.
He was born in East Liverpool, Ohio on August 26, 1952 a son of the late William and Anna (Krizan) Cooper. Living most of his life in this area, Ronald worked in maintenance for First Energy before retiring in December of 2017. He was a 1970 graduate of Southside High School in Hookstown, PA and a veteran of the United States Air Force serving during 1970 to 1979. He was a member of the American Legion #378, enjoyed working on cars, he was a drag racer and participated in the Demolition Derby’s.
He is survived at home by his wife Pamela M. (Luketic) Cooper whom he married January 22, 1972; two sons: Ronald F. Cooper Jr. and his wife Jessica of East Liverpool, OH and Anthony Cooper and his wife Tracy of Lisbon, OH; two brothers: Bill Cooper and his wife Janice of Lemon Grove, CA and Tom Cooper and his wife Evie of Chester, WV; a sister: Helen Vidovich, of Ohioville, PA and four grandchildren: Haley Cooper, Julia Cooper, Ashley Cooper and Andrew Cooper.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother: David Cooper.
Services will be held at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at 7 PM with Life Celebrant Don Bangor officiating.
Family will be present to receive friends at the Calcutta funeral home from 4 PM up until the time of service at 7 PM.
