Ronald Earl Lucas, 79, of Bethesda, Ohio died peacefully at home on Friday September 1st, 2023, surrounded by his family.

He was born March 9, 1944 in Bethesda, Ohio to the late Mildred (Peddicord) and Dexter Lucas.

Ron worked at Y&O Coal Mine and retired from his own heating & cooling business. He enjoyed his retirement hunting and fishing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers John and Lonnie Lucas; a sister, Betty Ann Lucas; and granddaughter, Shela Goff.

Ron is survived by his loving wife, of 50 years, Jeanette Lucas; 2 Sons, Ronnie (Sherri) Lucas, Dale Lucas; 2 Daughters, Christi (Chad) Paynter, Vicki (
Andrew) Russell; 16 Grandchildren; Valarie (Tony), Austin, Aiden, Addy, Tiffany (Brent), Anthony (Heidi), Kelsi (Noah), Hannah (Brandon), Kaytlyn (Cole), Cameron (Riley), Colton, Carson, Jennifer, Micheal, Ashton, Kenzie; 9 Great-grandchildren, 1 Great-great grandchild and 2 Sisters-in-law, Marlene & Nancy Lucas. He also leaves behind his companions, Lexie & Lady.
Visitation will be on Friday September 8th, 2023 from 11:00 AM until time of service at 1PM at the Care Funeral Home & Cremation Specialists 204 W. Main Street St. Clairsville, OH with Reverend Tom Detling officiating
The family would also like to thank Stonerise Hospice for the care and compassion they provided for our family during this difficult time.

    I didn't know Ronnie well, but I heard a lot about him from his wife Jeanette. She loved him and I'm sure he loved her.
