Robert “Bobby” L. Richey, 82 of Moundsville, WV died Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at Liza’s Place in Wheeling, WV.

He was born on April 30, 1931 in Majorsville, WV the son of the late Wilbert A. and Flossie Scherick Richey.

Bobby was a former operator for Columbia Gas, member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church, and carpenter who loved woodworking, gardening and his dogs.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Doris; two brothers, Randall and Charles “Chuck” Richey and step-son, Raymond Rutan.

He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Andrea “Dolly” Stanley Richey of Moundsville; three children, Mike (Sheri) Richey of Alberta, Canada, Pam “John”  Frabell of Houston, PA and Robin (Ed) Rinaldi of Cincinnati, Ohio; three step-daughters, Jeanie Rutan of Moundsville, Lisa (Jim) Gibson of Wellsburg, WV and Debbie Lamp of Proctor, WV; one brother, Jake (Jenny) Richey of Ohio; seventeen grandchildren, Josh Richey, Jennifer (Derek) Aquilla and Brandy (Billy) Mauro all  of Alberta, Canada, Joe (Susan) Frabell of McMurray, PA, Lisa (Glenn) Carlen of Monessen, PA, Eddie (Katie) Rinaldi and Danielle Rinaldi both of Cincinnati, Ohio, Tony and Raymond Jones both of Moundsville, Amanda (Casey) Fox of Cameron, WV, Darrell (Ashley) Rutan of Moundsville, Rikki Dufford of Cameron, Chad Gibson of Wellsburg, WV, Dock (Labon) Rutan of Dallas, WV, Aaron (Katie) Gibson of Wellsburg, Brittany Lamp of Moundsville, and Dylan Lamp of Proctor, WV;  and twenty great-grandchildren.

A memorial gathering will be held Saturday, January 11, 2013 from 4pm to the time of service at 5pm at CARE Funeral & Cremation Service, 1500 Second St., Moundsville, WV with Evangelist, Devin Roush officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Marshall County Animal Shelter, 37 Animal Shelter Drive, Moundsville, WV 26041.
