Rickey Darrell Smith

On Sunday, June 6th 2021, Rickey Darrell Smith, 63, passed away peacefully at his home in Wheeling, WV.
He was a Catholic by faith and was born in New Martinsville, WV on April 9th 1958 to his late parents Arvel and Katherine Smith. Rickey worked for nearly 50 years in the medical and healthcare industry at Peterson Hospital and Mound View Nursing Home.
In addition to his parents, Rickey is preceded in death by his brother Roger Smith, sister Donna Smith Myles, two nephews and three brother-in-laws.
He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years Debbie Smith; daughter Avah; sisters Nancy Myles, Annalee Humes, Kathy Sutton; sister-in-laws Martha (Todd) Abercrombie, Michele (Albert) Miller; brother-in-laws David Malatinski and John Malatinski, Jr.; several nieces and nephews, as well as several great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Care Funeral & Cremation Service, 3828 Jacob Street, Wheeling, WV 26003 on Wednesday, June 9th 2021 from 2:00pm-4:00pm & 6:00pm-8:00pm.
A eulogy will be held on Thursday, June 10th 2021 beginning at 10:00am at the funeral home.
From there he will be laid to rest at Mount Calvary Cemetery, 1685 National Road, Wheeling, WV 26003.
A celebration of life will be held after at 2704 Jacob Street, Wheeling, WV 26003 with a bonfire to be held at night.
