Richard G. “Ritchie” Nelson, passed away on May 22, 2023, at his residence, surrounded by his family . He was born in East Liverpool on July 16, 1935, the son of the late Bernie and Ethel (Parsons) Nelson. He was 87 years old.

 

Throughout his life, Ritchie worked as a maintenance worker at Crucible Steel in Midland, PA, He was also a proud veteran of the United States Army.

 

Ritchie is preceded in death by his daughters: Gina Coil and Glenna David, and his siblings – Bernie, Carl, Raymond, Albert, Twila, Wilma, June, Mildred, Helen, and Mary Lou.

 

 He leaves behind his  significant other of 39 years, Goldie Jewell, who will miss him dearly . He is also survived by his special niece, Helen (Keith) Maple, of East Liverpool.  

 

Care Funeral & Cremation- Martin Chapel, in Calcutta, have been entrusted with his arrangements.
