Phillip Plants

Phillip W. “Wayne” Plants  55, of Moundsville passed away Saturday December 4, 2010 at Wheeling Hospital.

Wayne was born June first 1955 the son of the late Ervin Plants and Nancy Gray Plants.

He was a maintenance man for the Ohio Valley Amusements company.

He was a Baptist by faith.

Wayne was a member of the Moundsville Moose, Moundsville VFW #437, and the American Legion Post #3, as well as a past Lieutenant for the Moundsville Volunteer Fire Department where he served for 15 years.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by an infant sister Lou Ann Plants.

He is survived by four daughters; Bethann (Steve) Moffit, Shelly Wade , Nancy Plants, and Kimmie Plants  all of Moundsville WV. One Brother, Lawrence Plants (Cathy) of Cameron; Two Sisters, Marlis ( Sherman) Hill of Moundsville WV; Vickie (Paul)  Coffield of McMechen WV,  11 Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation  for Wayne will be held at CARE Funeral & Cremation Service on Wednesday, December 8, 2010 from 2-4 & 6-

8 PM. Funeral Services for will be held at the CARE Chapel on Thursday December 9 at 1 PM with the Evangelist  Brian Price of the Cedar Avenue Church of Christ.

Interment to follow at the convenience of the family.
