Paul F. Spotts

Gifts & Memorial Donations

Paul Frederick Spotts, 82, of Powhattan Point, OH, has been called home by the Lord on the 15th of August 2021.

He was born March 17th, 1939 in New York to the late Charles Harry and Sophia Maria (Stierle) Spotts. Paul retired as a Railroad Policeman with MTA Long Island Railroad in the state of New York after many years of service. Upon moving to the Ohio Valley in 1995, he joined the Harvest Baptist Church, where he served as a trustee for many years. Paul met his life partner, Maxine Beyser, at Harvest Baptist and they went on to spend 25 happy years. Together they shared a strong love of God, listening to Gospel music and the church. For several years he also volunteered for the Fish Creek Volunteer Fire Department. Paul lived his life with love in his heart.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by several siblings.

Paul is survived by a daughter, Debbie Davis; a son, Paul Spotts Jr.; two grandchildren and his cat, “Little Bit”, whom most would say found him, instead of the other way around.

Family and friends will be received August 20th, Friday, from 5:00pm until time of services at 7:00pm, with Pastor Larry Jenkins officiating, at CARE Funeral & Cremation Services on 1500 Second Street, Moundsville WV.

Condolences may be offered to the family at carechapel.com.

    Larry Newell says:
My heart is heavy with the passing of Spottsy,(my nickname). BUT is very joyful knowing that he is now with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I met Spottsy when he was with the Fish Creek (Crick) VFD. We developed a very good relationship that I was blessed more than I think he knew. His directness and honesty in both good and bad events helped both of us in the workings of the Marshall County Communications 911. Also enjoyed the stories you shared of your work and life. Your memory will not be lost and looking forward to the day we meet again at the great feast and Praising the Lord all day long.
