Paul Edward Bontempt, Jr. 72 passed away peacefully at his residence on Thursday, December 10, 2015 following a lengthy illness.
He was born in East Liverpool, OH on January 15, 1943 a son to the late Paul E. and Beverly (Eardley) Bontempt Sr. Paul worked at Crucible Steel Mill, was a construction worker for Paul Brown Construction, building many homes around the Calcutta area, and worked Security at the Homer Laughlin China Co retiring in 2009.
He is survived at home by his wife Sue Anne (Marsh) Bontempt whom he married in May of 1962; two sons: Paul Edward Bontempt, III and Timothy Bontempt of East Liverpool, OH; three brothers: John Bontempt of East Liverpool, OH, Bob Bontempt of Tennessee and Don & Barb Bontempt of Arizona; a sister Patsy Mudger and her husband Terry of Salem, OH and two granddaughters: Amanda Jane Geer and Courtney Paige Geer.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter: Beverly Paige Geer.
The family’s wishes were that no visitation or services be held. The Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes has been entrusted with his arrangements.
