Paul Allen Pinkerton, 82, of Shadyside, Ohio, passed away Saturday, January 16, 2016, in Liza’s Place, Valley Hospice Care Center South, Wheeling.

Paul was born May 10, 1933 in East Liverpool, Ohio, a son of the late Raymond E. and Daisy M. (Heverley) Pinkerton. He was a retired mechanic and a U.S. Marine Corps. veteran.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley A. (Evans) Pinkerton, in 2011; a son, Paul Pinkerton; a sister, Virginia McKain; and a nephew, Pat McKain.

Paul is survived by his children, Gina Miller (George) of Bellaire, Chris Taylor (Russ) of Chambersburg, Pa., Richard Dixon of Daytona Beach, Fla., Robert Dixon (Jackie) of Airway Heights, Wash., Debbie Ruiz (Juan) of Las Vegas, Nev. and Linda Rouse (Richard) of Newington, Conn.; a sister, Sandy Thomas of Augusta, Ga.; five brothers, Tom Pinkerton of Wheeling, Robert Pinkerton of Amarillo, Texas, Richard Pinkerton of Camden, S.C., Raymond Pinkerton of Portland, Maine and Charlie Pinkerton of Bloomfield, N.J.; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In accordance with Paul’s wishes, there will be no visitation. Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by CARE Funeral & Cremation Service, 1500 Second Street, Moundsville, W.Va.
