HIGHLANDTOWN: Naida “Jean” Vernaccini  Boley passed away after a brief illness at St Elizabeth’s hospital on March 14 2024 surrounded by her family. Jean was born November 24 1949 in East Liverpool Ohio to the late Everett and Dolores  Vernaccini. 

Jean graduated from East Liverpool High School in 1968. She attended beautician school and worked as a beautician for several years holding her license all of her life.

 Jean was raised a Potter but turned into a proud Southern Local Indian. Working for the Southern Local school district in the cafeteria and as a teachers aide until her retirement in 2018 and continuing to sub after retirement. She loved to watch her children in their many activities, attending Southern Local sporting events, and watching anything The Ohio State University was playing. Jean rarely missed an Ohio State, or Pittsburgh Steelers game on the TV. Jean was a die hard OSU, Steelers,Penguins, and Indians fan. After her retirement Jean became the caregiver to her mother and father taking care of them until their passing. 

Those left to cherish her memory are: her husband and soulmate, Richard “Rich” Boley, whom she married on July 8, 1972.  Jean and Rich spent 52 years building their family and making memories together.  She also leaves behind her children: Wade (Jamie) Boley, of Negley, and Justin (Hannah) Boley, of Wellsville; three grandchildren: Morgan Boley, Reagan Boley, and Adalynn Boley; and her siblings: Mike (Jackie) Vernaccini, Paula (Joe) Reed, James (Valerie) Vernaccini, and Patricia Auvil.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 from 4PM-7PM at the Martin Chapel of Care Funeral & Cremation Specialists.  The funeral will take place at 11AM  on Wednesday, March 20th at the Martin Chapel.  Jean will be laid to rest in Columbiana County Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Jean’s name to: Highlandtown Volunteer Fire Department, 18371 Steubenville Pike Rd, Salineville, OH 43945 or Salineville-Southern Alumni Community Scholarship, PO Box 2, Salineville, OH  43945.
