Mildred Rose Ellen (Schrumpf) Gates, 93, of Wheeling, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 in Wheeling Hospital
She was born December 12, 1927 in Wheeling, the daughter of the late Arthur and Mary (Karrasch) Schrumpf.
Mildred was a retired loan adjuster with Wesbanco and was a 1945 graduate of Wheeling High School.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother William Schrumpf and a sister Marie Codol.
Surviving are two daughters Greta (Rodney) Foose of Wheeling and Gale Richards of Wheeling; three grandchildren Todd (Jocelyn) Foose of Pittsburgh, Christopher Richards of Wheeling and Ryan Richards of Wheeling; a great-grandchild Jadyn Richards of Wheeling.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
