Merle S. Horn, 91, of St. Clairsville, Ohio died Thursday, May 13, 2021 in the Wheeling Hospital in Wheeling, West Virginia.

He was born March 5, 1930 in Bellaire, Ohio son of the late Samuel S. and Jessie McGrew Horn.

Merle was retired from the Swisher International formerly Bloch Brothers in Wheeling, West Virginia, a member of the First United Methodist Church in Bellaire, Ohio Life Member of the American Legion Post 52 Bellaire, Life Member of the Ohio River Valley Elks 231 Martins Ferry and a graduate of Bellaire High school, Class of 1948. Merle was a US Air Force veteran of the Korean War.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons-in-law, Robby L. Fish and Arthur Varner, II, two sisters, Laura Horn and Sarah Schlanz and a niece, Shelia VanHorn.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Ann Ehasz Horn, whom he married on November 17, 1956; three children, David (Charlotte) Horn of Burke, Virginia, Denise Fish of St. Clairsville, Ohio and Doreen Horn of Marietta, Ohio. Also three grandchildren, Ruth Horn, Josiah Horn and Marie (Stephen) Mogensen, step grandson, Robby W. Fish, great granddaughter, Selah Mogensen and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday from 2 pm until time of services at 3pm at the Care Funeral & Cremation Specialists, St. Clairsville Chapel 204 West Main Street St. Clairsville, Ohio with Msgr. George Coyne officiating.
