Uncle Matt was a really special figure in my childhood and I'm heartbroken to hear of his passing. He was a vibrant and fun-loving man who could always make me laugh. Moments of joy and laughter with him will always hold a special place in my heart. He is greatly missed.

    Rod Eakin says:
Matt came to work for me in my landscaping business in 1987 to the mid '90s. We were always good friends and helped each other out on jobs. There wasn't a tree he couldn't climb and take down. He was the hardest worker I ever had. No one could apply mulch, edge beds, or plant trees as fast as us. I will always miss hearing from him. RIP, Matt, and save me a spot in Heaven.
