Matthew Steven “Matt” Anderson, 59, passed away unexpectedly Friday, May 7, 2021, at home.

He was born September 10, 1961, a son to the late Dale and Glenna (Rine) Anderson. Matt recently retired from PPG after many years of service. He was an avid fisherman and hunter.

Matt is survived by his loving wife, of over 30 years, Brenda (Cuskey) Anderson; four children, Theresa Jo Anderson and Tihesa Anderson both of GA and Willie Mason and Jessie Mason both of Moundsville; four siblings, Lynn (Dale) Hall of Glen Easton, WV, Carles (Tedra) Anderson of Moundsville, Scarlet (Scott) Holmes of Benwood, WV and Lyle (Tracy) Anderson of Moundsville; one grandchild, Ayden Berry; four sisters-in-law, Joyce (Mike) Fluharty, Lisa Cuskey, Judy Morris and Carla (Jeff) Murray); several nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Ellie Sage.

Family and friends will be received Wednesday, May 12, 2021, from 4-8 pm, at CARE Funeral and Cremation, 1500 Second St., where funeral services will be held Thursday, May 13 at 11 am. Interment will be held at Riverview Cemetery.
