Maryann Wright, 75, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2023, at East Liverpool City Hospital. Born on September 19, 1947, in East Liverpool, Ohio, the daughter of the late Walter and Ann (O’Kruta) Juszczak,. Maryann was a graduate of Oak Glen High School and lived a remarkable life filled with love, joy, and devotion.
Maryann dedicated her life to creating a warm and nurturing home for her family. As a homemaker, she poured her heart and soul into raising her five children, instilling in them the values of kindness, compassion and hard work. Her unwavering love and selflessness were evident in every aspect of her role as a mother.
In addition to her role as a mother, Maryann found immense joy in spending time with her grandchildren. She delighted in watching them participate in sports and cheering them on from the sidelines. Her presence at their games brought immeasurable pride to her heart. Maryann’s family was the center of her happiness. She cherished every moment she spent with them. Her legacy of love and devotion will forever live on in the hearts of her loved ones. Her husband of 55 years, Charles Wright, was her rock and constant source of support. Their love and commitment to each other was unwavering throughout the years.
Along with her husband, Maryann is survived by her five children: Theresa (Chris) Palmer of East Liverpool, Barbara “BJ” (Bob) Luketic of Rogers, Lori Wright of East Liverpoool, Charles “Chuckie” (Kristi) Wright Jr. of East Liverpool, and Michael Wright of Pittsburgh, Pa. Maryann also leaves behind nine grandchildren: Megan Bryant, Garrett Palmer, Andrew (Linsey) Fraser, Zach Fraser, Courtney Luketic, Justin Luketic, Josh Luketic, Tyler Phillips and Jared Wright; five great-grandchildren: Marisa Houshour, Andrew “Peanut” Fraser Jr., Nick Gough, Gianna DeSarro, and Kynzlee Luketic; her sister, Patty (Steve) Murray; her brother Bob (Bonnie) Juszczak; brother and sister-in-law Rich and Margie Wright; sister and brother-in-law Jean and Rob Boso, and brother-in-law Bob Wright. Maryann will also be greatly missed by her “grand-dog” Ziggy. Maryann also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, Maryann was preceded in death by her great-granddaughter Taylor Bryant, father and mother-in-law Dick and Charlotte Wright, and sister-in-law Nadine Wright.
In keeping with Maryann’s wishes, no services will be observed. The Martin Chapel of Care Funeral & Cremation in Calcutta have been entrusted with her care.
