Mary Elizabeth Hulse, age 85, passed away on Sunday, August 23rd 2020, at Continuing Health Care of Lisbon, following a brief illness.

Mrs. Hulse was born in Manorville, Pennsylvania on March 19th 1935 and had lived the majority of her life in this area. The daughter of the late John Robert Crawford Sr., and Kathleen Keates Crawford, she was a graduate of Wells High School, class of 1955. She then went on to attend the Ohio Valley Business College. Mrs. Hulse was employed at the Bell Telephone Company for several years, then later became employed at East Liverpool City Schools as a secretary, where she retired in 1992.

Survivors include one son: David Bruce Hulse (Amy) of Etna, Ohio; two daughters: Pamela Kiger (Jay) of East Liverpool, Ohio, Amy DeFilippo (Jeff) of East Liverpool, Ohio; two brothers: Edward Crawford (Myrna) of East Liverpool, Ohio, and John Robert Crawford Jr. (Carla) of Newell, West Virginia; a sister-in law: Eleanor Hulse Mosser of Roanoke, Virginia; seven grandchildren: Kathryn Kiger (fiancé John Singleton), Kelly Kiger, Jon DeFilippo (fiancée Sarah Morrell), Joey DeFilippo, Megan Culp (Jeff), David Hulse, and Jacob Hulse; three great-grandchildren: Nicholas George Kiger, Aiden Hulse, and McKenzie Culp, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, George B. Hulse.

Per Mrs. Hulse’s wishes, no services will be held. Arrangements have been entrusted to Care Funeral and Cremation Services – Martin Chapel, formerly known as the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Home in Calcutta, Ohio.
