Linda Kay (Richter) Cooper

June 2, 1948 - October 9, 2021

Linda Kay (Richter) Cooper, 73, of Wheeling, WV, passed away on Saturday, October10 2021 at her sister’s residence in Wheeling.
Linda was born on June 2, 1948 in Wheeling, daughter of the late Carl F. & Betty Louise (Sorge) Richter.
She was retired from Starbucks where she was a Barista, and from OVMC where she was an Executive Housekeeper, former member of the Kain Club and member of St. Stephens Church of Christ and Greggsville United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Cooper and brothers, Carl Frederick Richter and Jack L. Richter.
Surviving are her three sisters, June A Ullom of Warwood, WV, Kathy Byard of Martins Ferry, OH and Brenda S. Richter of Wheeling and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Thursday, October 14, 2021 from 2-4 & 6-8 at CARE Funeral & Cremation Specialist, 3828 Jacob Street, Wheeling, where funeral services will be held on Friday, October15, 2021 at 11am with Pastor Mike Palmer officiating.
A luncheon will be held following the funeral at the Martins Ferry American Legion.

    So sorry to hear of Linda's passing. She and Jim were good friends with my parents and had many good times at the Kain Club. Linda took my mom to Mountaineer games for several years and always was a great friend to her.
