Larry E. Cochran, 76 of East Liverpool, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Blossom Nursing Home in Salem, Ohio following a lengthy illness.
He was born in East Liverpool on June 8, 1941 a son to the late Everett and Irene (Miller) Cochran. Living his life in this area, he worked as a foreman for Penn Power for 20 plus years before retiring. Larry was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean Conflict. He was an avid fisherman, a musician who played lead guitar in Southwind, Reckless and many other bands, and Larry enjoyed riding his motorcycle.
He is survived by his wife Nancy (Buchheit) Cochran whom he married December 7, 1962 a son: Michael Cochran Sr. of Lisbon, OH; a daughter: Melissa Rogers of East Liverpool, OH; a brother: Jack Cochran and his wife Sandy of Lacanto, FL; seven grandchildren: Matthew Cochran, Sean Cochran, Adam Cochran, Michael Cochran Jr. Kathryn “Katie” Matheson, Brandon Shields and Blake “Alex” Shields and seven great grandchildren: Darrin Ward, Holly Ward, Aden Milhoan, Alaina Cochran, Eli Matheson, Liam Matheson and Emma Matheson.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son: Mark Cochran and four brothers: Harold, Wayne, James “JR” and Melvin Cochran.
Services will be held at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Friday, April 27, 2018 at 1 PM with Evangelist Dick Chambers officiating.
Family will be present to receive friends at the Calcutta funeral home on Friday, April 27, 2018 from 11 AM up until the time of service at 1 PM.
