Joseph “Joe” Floyd-Michael Richmond, 64, of Moundsville, WV, passed away on Sunday, May 21 2023 at Liza’s Place, Wheeling.
Joe was born on October 27, 1958 in Glen Dale, WV, son of the late Floyd Ralph and Stephanie “Stella” (Mysliwiec) Richmond.
He was an Instrument Control Tech for AEP Mitchell Plant, Catholic by faith, earned his Associates Degree at Northern Community College,
was a member of the Marshall Masonic Lodge # 8, former Boy Scout Leader and Air Rifleman Coach for the Ohio Valley Jaycees and an EMT for Tri-State Ambulance Service, member of the Marshall County Rescue Squad, Board member for the Storm Water Board, Sanitation Board, Animal Control Board, Zoning Board of Appeals and a member of the Upper Ohio Valley Dog Obedience Club, out of Bellaire, OH.
He had many loves in his life including his Harley Davidson motorcycles, corvettes, car shows, great Danes and spending time with his granddaughter, Claire.
In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his son, Zachary Lloyd Richmond and brother, James “Jim” A. Richmond.
Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Peggy (Crow) Richmond of Moundsville; Joseph “Joe” Richmond II and his wife, Loni (Simms) Richmond of Moundsville; granddaughter, Claire Richmond of Moundsville, sister-in-law, Karen Richmond of Proctor, WV, his two companions, Quinn and “Milk” Oreo and several nieces, great nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Thursday, May 25 2023 from 1-4 & 6-9 and again on Friday, May 26 from 11 until time of services at 1pm at CARE Funeral and Cremation Service, 1500 Second Street Moundsville, WV, with Rev. Rodney Hubbs officiating.
Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery, Moundsville.
