John Hubert ‘Hugh’ Wright passed away on Thursday, Nov. 10, 2022 in St. Clairsville, OH.

Hugh was born on Sep. 26, 1940 to Claude and Anna Wright. He grew up in Mingo Junction, OH. He raised his family in Mingo Junction, OH and then Beaver Falls, PA. He retired to St. Clairsville, OH.

He graduated from Mingo High School in 1958. He served in the US Army as a Specialist. He then worked as a railroad engineer for 42 years before retiring from the Norfolk and Southern Railroad. During his railroad career, he served as the Local Chairman for the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias.

He enjoyed working on home improvement projects and spending time with his family. He was a loving father and grandfather who always made his family laugh with his jokes. He will be dearly missed by his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Annie Wright, his brothers Thomas Wright, Eugene Wright, Vernon Wright, Robert Wright, Lawrence Wright and sister Celestia Bronson. He is survived by his loving wife Linda Wright, his sons, John (Kelly) Wright, Zachary (Kelly) Wright, and three granddaughters, Maylen Wright, Isabella Wright, and Anneliese Wright.
