John G. Olenar, Sr., 71, of St. Clairsville, OH died Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at Cumberland Point Nursing Home, St. Clairsville.

He was born December 8, 1948 in Martins Ferry, OH, a son of the late John Samuel and Caroline Malizia Olenar.

John was Clerical Worker of the former Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation, attended Calvary Presbyterian Church, and was a U.S. Air Force Veteran.

Surviving are his wife, Carol M. Bell Olenar of St. Clairsville; a son, John Gregory (Anna) Olenar of Greensboro, NC; a daughter, Lana (Mark) Harding of St. Clairsville; nine grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Cheryl (Tom) Humphrey of St. Clairsville; a brother-in-law, Chuck Bell of Belmont, OH; a niece, Cindy Cottage; three nephews, Jeff Kerns, Chuck Bell, Jr. and Davey Bell.

Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at 4 pm at Calvary Presbyterian Church with Rev. Terry Lucarelli officiating.
