Jody Ann (Heil) Campbell, 66, of Glen Easton, WV, passed peacefully Monday, March 15, 2021, with family by her side, at Wheeling Hospital.
She was born October 31, 1954, in McMechen, WV, a daughter of the late Joseph T. and Lois Jean (Riedel) Heil. Jody was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Bellaire, OH, and retired after 25 years of teaching at St. John’s Central Grade School. Jody was loved and respected by all of her students and fellow teachers. After retiring, she joined the Peebles Department store. She enjoyed traveling and trips to the beach with family and friends, as well as taking cruises, hiking and reading. Above everything else, she cherished her grandchildren.
She had countless friends who loved her dearly and that are extremely sad loosing their friend and sister. Jody fought a long battle with her illness, but she did it with dignity and was an inspiration to all that knew her.

Jody is survived by her significant other, of over 20 years, Kenny Kuhn; a son, Ryan (Jessie Copeland) Campbell of McMechen, WV; four grandchildren, Robert Klopp, Leife Klopp, Jude Campbell and Kyleena Campbell and their mother, Tina Campbell of Shadyside, OH; two nieces, Angie and Sarah Heil of Virginia and close friend, Kip Campbell.
Funeral liturgy and Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at 4 pm, at St. John’s Catholic Church, Bellaire, OH, with Fr. Dan Heusel as celebrant.

I am so saddened to learn of Jody’s passing! I met Jody when we were both returning to college and spent many hours of laughter with her. We had recently reconnected on Facebook and I’m just sad we did not get to visit together again before her passing. Jody was a lovely, lovely person. My deepest condolences to her son and family.
