Jo Ann Woodward, 81, of Wellsville, OH passed away on Saturday, November 7, 2020 surrounded by her family.  

 

Jo Ann was born on July 23, 1939 in Akron, OH, the daughter of the late Edward and Margaret (Pontius) Deeley.  She moved to Wellsville with her parents and graduated from high school there

 

Jo Ann married Gerald Woodward on July 23, 1960 and from their union three children were born.   She lived in the area for most of her life and  worked for many years as a clerk for Bricker’s -Isleys in East LIverpool.

 

Jo Ann loved spending time with family and was very active in her grandson’s lives.  She loved the home she had made with her family and enjoyed spending her time there.  When returning from an outing she could often be heard saying “There’s no place like home”.

 

Left behind to cherish her memory are: Her three children: Gerald (Marsha) Woodwood, Robin Woodward, and Wendy (Roger) Lockhart, all from Wellsville.  She also leaves behind her brother William Deeley of Salineville and her  beloved grandchildren: Jordanna, Austin, Arlen and William along with two great-grandchildren Bailynn and Lila

 

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 15 from 1pm-3pm at CARE Funeral & Cremation Specialists- MacLean Chapel 509 Riverside Avenue Wellsville.  You can read this obituary, send condolences to the family and sign the guest book at carechapel.com
