James Robert “Heavy” Allison, 85, of Moundsville, WV, passed away on Tuesday, July 5 2022 at WVU Medicine, Glen Dale, WV,
James was born on August 24 1936 in Moundsville, son of the late Earl M. and Olga (Booth) Allison.
He was a cook for Elby’s Restaurant and retired from there after 45 years of employment.
surviving are his loving wife of 65 years, Sharon (Ledbetter) Allison of Moundsville; daughters, Jana (Joe) Yocum of Moundsville and Michelle (John) Olejasz of Wheeling, WV; grandsons, Jeremy (Ellen) Yocum and Chaz Stalnaker; great grandchildren, Julia (Kyle) Yocum, Kobe, Jordyn and Daisy Rayne Yocum and several nieces and nephews and family,
There will be no services at this time, per James’ request.
Interment will follow at his son-in-law’s family cemetery in Meadow Dale Church, Bannon WV, at the convenience of the family.

    So sorry to hear of Heavy's passing. We both worked with him at Elby's. Such a nice person. Over the years we would run into him in the local stores and he would always stop to chat a bit and called us by name. With all the people he had to have known it never ceased to amaze and impress us that he knew us by name after all those years. He made us feel special. He was the special one.
