James E. Hanlon, passed away suddenly on May 12 2020, at East Liverpool City Hospital following.

Mr. Hanlon was born in Wellsville, Ohio, on March 28 1951 and had lived most of his life in this area. The son of the late Jackie Russell, he was a graduate of Wellsville High School. James retired from Norfolk Southern in 2011, where he was a conductor. He was a United States Army Veteran, and was member of the VFW Post 5647, the Eagles Lodge, and Moose Lodge in East Liverpool. James enjoyed shooting pool and 4-wheeling with his friends

Survivors include his wife of 22 years: Patricia (Daniels) Hanlon of Wellsville, Ohio, his sisters: Patty (Dean) Morris, Caffie Stoakes of Wellsville, Ohio, and Tina Myers (Robbie Brown) of Florida, his stepson: Paul J. Daniels (Kari) of Wellsville, Ohio and step grandchildren: Austin and Katlynn Jackson. He also leaves behind nieces, nephews and a dog named Susie Q.

In compliance with Ohio State Regulations and in connection to the COVID-19 public health crisis, a private family service will be held at MacLean Chapel of Care Funeral and Cremation Specialists in Wellsville on Friday, May 15 2020 with pastor Dirk Hall officiating. Burial will take place at Yellow Creek Cemetery
