James Corbly Garard Jr., 81, of Columbus passed away the morning of Tuesday, February 22nd, 2022 after a short battle with his health.
Born on April 17th, 1941 in Clairton, PA, James was the son of the late James Garard Sr. and Evelyn (Henrich) Garard. He grew up in Clairton, graduating high school from Bethel Park High School before he moved to Columbus to attend Ohio State University, where he would earn his degree in horticulture. While in Columbus, he fell in love with the city, deciding to make his home there permanently. He worked at an airplane manufacturing company for many years before it’s closing, in which afterwards he would work as a grocery clerk at a local grocery store.
James is survived by his sister, Susan Garard of Pheonix, AZ, and his brother William (Jean) Garard of Wellsville, OH, as well as a niece, Christine (Anthony) DiDomenico.
His care has been entrusted to the Martin Chapel of CARE Funeral & Cremation Specialists in Calcutta.
