James Earl Kidd, 81, of Moundsville, passed away Sunday, November 15, 2020 at home.
James was born September, 6, 1939, in Marshall County, the son of the late Willard and Effie Marie (Moust) Kidd.
James was a coal miner for Valley Camp Coal, worked for Klug Brothers Excavating and was self employed as the owner and operator of his own excavating company; a member of Prayer Hill Church of God.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by four brothers, Jack, Bob, Dude and Dave Kidd; a sister Nancy Crow; two nephews.
Surviving are his wife Betty Jo (Stanley) Kidd; six children Amy Werfele of Columbus, Ohio, Andrew Kidd of Toledo, Ohio, Bonnie Woods (Steve) of Grafton, WV., Samuel Summers III of Grafton, WV., Charles Summers (Hollie) of Grafton, WV., and Donald Summers of San Francisco, CA.; two brothers Richard “Dick” Kidd (Bonnie) of PA. and William “Bill” Kidd of Moundsville; five grandchildren Donavon Williamson of Columbus, Jesse Woods (Sarah) of Fairmont, Brandon Woods of Pittsburgh, Samara Summers of Pittsburgh and Autumn Summers of AZ.; one great-grandson Parker Woods; several nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to Prayer Hill Church of God, 51 36th Street, Wheeling, WV., 26003.

A memorial service is being planned at Prayer Hill Church of God at a later date.
