James Brent Rogerson, age 74, passed away on July 22, 2023, in Cameron, WV. Born on July 31, 1948 in Wheeling, WV, he was the son of Emmit B. and E. Mae (Daugherty) Rogerson of Wheeling, WV.

Jim proudly served in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict, demonstrating his patriotism and bravery. His service to his country was a reflection of his unwavering dedication and sense of duty.

Jim led a fulfilling life, working as a dedicated truck driver and warehouse worker at Clark Paper Company. He took great pride in his work and was respected by colleagues and friends alike.
Outside of work, Jim had a deep passion for hunting and fishing. He found solace in spending time on the family farm, surrounded by the beauty of nature. These activities brought him immense joy and comfort.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Emmit and E. Mae Rogerson, as well as his sister-in-law, Linda Rogerson. He leaves behind a loving family and many cherished friends who will deeply miss him. Surviving family members include sister Judy (Stephen) Bertz of Akron, OH, brothers William Rogerson of Wheeling, WV, and Stanley Carl (Mary Jane) Rogerson of Wheeling, WV. He is also survived by cousins Donald (Susan) Toland, Carrie Toland, Janet Wilson, and numerous other cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 29, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 1:00 p.m. at Care Funeral Home, located at 1500 Second Street, Moundsville, WV.

Jim had a treasured friendship with his second cousin, Donald “Jake” Toland, who was more like a brother to him. The two were inseparable and enjoyed countless hours together, particularly when dining out. They shared many memorable meals and created lasting memories over delicious food.

James Brent Rogerson will be remembered for his hard work, love for the outdoors, and deep connections with family and friends. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution can be made to the VA of Pittsburgh, that had provided good and compassionate care of Jim’s health needs over the past few years.
