MATHEWS, Harold B. “Babe”, 89, of Cameron, W.Va., died Tuesday, January 2, 2018.

He was born April 28, 1928 in Marshall County. He was a retired pipeline operator and a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Korean War.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Naomi (Sampson) Mathews, two brothers, Howard Paul Mathews and Nile Mathews, and one step-sister, Mary.

He is survived by four sons, Harold S. Mathews, James B. Mathews, Michael W. Mathews, and David D. Mathews; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

At Babe’s request there will be no visitation.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the CARE Funeral Home, 1500 Second Street, Moundsville, W.Va.
