    Gregory “Gabby” R. Hayes, 61 of Moundsville WV, passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at his home.

Greg was born March 6, 1954 in Glen Dale, WV, son of the late James Bennie and Dora Elizabeth Pettit Hayes.

He formally worked as a Corrections Officer at the Moundsville Penitentiary, was a Christian by faith and loved to hunt and fish.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Jim Hayes.

Greg is survived by his wife of forty-five years, Debbie (Landers) Hayes of Moundsville; two children, Greg Hayes of Moundsville and his girlfriend,  Amy Aston of Cameron and Amy (Bill) Moore of Moundsville; sister, Sandra (Vernon) Liston of OH; five grandchildren, Christopher (Kayla) Miller of Moundsville, Jennifer Hayes of OH, Holly (Neal) Featheringham of Moundsville, Autumn Hayes and Ben Hayes both of Moundsville; three great grandchildren, Leo and Elizabeth Gail Miller and Chloe Hayes, which will be here soon and four nephews, Mark, Danny, Larry and Jamie Liston from OH.

Friends will be received Friday, November 13, 2015 from 2 -4pm and 6-8pm at the Care Funeral & Cremation Service, 1500 Second Street, Moundsville, and again Saturday, November 14, 2015 from noon until the time of service at 1pm with Pastor Bill Kittle officiating.

Interment will follow at Valley Brook Cemetery, Moundsville.
