Gerry Lou (Whipkey) Stanley, 74 of Moundsville, WV passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at Wheeling Medical Park.
She was born August 8, 1940 in Glen Dale, WV, daughter of the late John and Opal (Littell) Whipkey.
Gerry was a Christian by faith and a retired housekeeper.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her four brothers, Howard, John, Floyd and Lloyd Whipkey; sister, Sharon Burton and grandson, Joshua Stanley
She is survived by her son, Jim Stanley of FL; three daughters, Cassie Quinlan, Rhonda Bungard (Henry Plunkert) and Amy Ramsey all of Moundsville; two sisters, Mary Etta Gordon and Nancy Doty both of Moundsville; eight grandchildren, Ashley Waddell, Justin and James Quinlan, Danielle Bungard, Alexa Weiss, Shayne Bungard, Natalie Ramsey and Shania Bungard: five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Thursday August 6, 2015 from 11am until the time of services at 1pm at Care Funeral & Cremation Service, 1500 Second Street, Moundsville, with Rev. Donna Burton officiating.
Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery, Moundsville.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made to “Feeding Body and Soul” Community Kitchen at Simpson United Methodist Church, 800 Seventh Street, Moundsville, WV 26041 in honor of Phyllis Roberts.
