Gerald “Jerry” Blaschak died at Valley Oaks in East Liverpool on November 28, 2019 following a lengthy illness.

Jerry was born in Empire, Ohio on October 2, 1937 a son of the late Michael and Pauline (Ference) Blaschak. Having lived all his life in the area Jerry worked in Maintenance for the Columbiana County Metropolitan Housing Authority. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps serving from 1955-1959 and a veteran of the United States Navy Serving from 1959-1963. Jerry was a member of the Eagles Lodge #772 and was a Catholic by faith.

Jerry is survived by; two sons: Jerry Blaschak and wife Joanna of East Liverpool and James Blaschak and his wife Carole of Wellsville; four grandchildren: James Blaschak, Jaime Blaschak, Jonathan Reese and his wife Kayla and Joshua Reese and his wife Allie and six great grandchildren Joslynn, Eli, Julianna, Emma Auora and Jaxson.

In addition to his parents Jerry was proceeded in death by his wife Reha L. Silverthorne) Blaschak whom he married August 31, 1986

Services will be held at the Care Funeral and Cremation Specialist MacLean Chapel on Tuesday at 10AM burial will follow in St Elizabeth Cemetery.

Family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 2-6pm.
