George Alan Brown, age 67, of Shadyside passed on to his eternal home on Sunday,  April 2, 2023 at Reynolds Memorial Hospital.

He was born on December 14, 1955 in Bellaire, OH, a son of James L. Brown, and the late Eleanor Jean (Williams) Brown.

In addition to his mother Jean, George was proceeded in death by an infant brother Jeffrey Brown.

Surviving in addition to his father are his brother, James (Erica) Brown: three sisters, Tammy (Dave) Mathews, Trudy Brown and Tina Brown, all of Shadyside;  nephews, Joshua (Chalisa) Mathews, Eric (Alyssa) Mathews, Coleby (Danielle) Mathews and Jimmy Brown.; nieces,  Karissa (Josh) Duffy, Jamie (Jason) Hayner, and Dakota Brown (Patrick Porter); eleven great-nieces, one great-nephew and several special aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on at the convenience of the family.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Shadyside Church of the Nazarene, 3752 Leona Ave., Shadyside, OH 43947.

Arrangements were entrusted to CARE Funeral & Cremation Service, 1500 Second Street, Moundsville, WV.

    I will always remember George as a gentle giant. He and my brother Dean were the best of friends. George and I had our last conversation not long before he passed and I enjoyed catching up on lost times. Rest easy. You will be dearly missed❤️
