Fredrick Black

Fredrick Black, age 81, of Irondale, Ohio passed away on March 29, 2021 at his residence following a brief illness.

Fred was born on July 2, 1939 in Irondale, Ohio, and made a life in this area. The son of the late Wilbur and Winifred Black, Fred was lovingly referred to as jack-of-all-trades and spent some time working in the brickyard. In addition to spending time with his grandchildren, he was a member of the NRA and enjoyed drag racing.

Those left to cherish his memory are: his beloved wife of 61 years, Joan Black of Irondale, Ohio; four sons: Glenn Black (Julie) of Lisbon, Ohio; Michael Black (Danyal) of Smithfield, Ohio; Rodger Black (Cheryl) of East Palestine, Ohio; and Gordon “Bruce” Black (Shannon) of Irondale, Ohio; two brothers: Dale Black & Gene Black; and four grandchildren: Alana Owens, Kayla Sayer, Ashlynn Black and Timothy Black.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Curt Black and Gloria Black.

Care Funeral & Cremation Specialists -Martin Chapel in Calcutta have been entrusted with arrangements. No services are planned at this time.
