Frederick Allen Dougherty, 74, of Wheeling, died Saturday, September 21, 2019 at his home.

He was born November 15, 1944 in Wheeling, a son of the late Harry and Naomi Oliver Dougherty.

Frederick was retired from the Gaudenkauf Corp. of Columbus, OH, and was a member of the Mount Olivet United Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents, Frederick was preceded in death by 2 brothers; Raymond and Wayne Dougherty.

Frederick is survived by his wife, Lois Jean Loges Dougherty, two children; Michael (Carrie) Dougherty, and Lisa (Rob) Ingram, all of Wheeling, 5 brothers; James (Karen Sue) Dougherty of Moundsville, Frank (Mary Ann) Dougherty of AL, Jeff (Becky) Dougherty of Wheeling, David (Maxine) Dougherty of Wheeling, Larry (Leslie) of CA, and 1 sister: Sharon (Lairl) Westfall of Wheeling, 8 grandchildren; Lyndsey (David Schlieper) Ingram, Garrett (Adri Magnone) Ingram, Logan Ingram, Megan Dougherty, Andrew McGilton, Annie Martin, Reese Richmond and Josie Richmond, sisters in law; Donna (David) Ransom, Fran (Ken) Eastwood and Karen Dougherty, along with several nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to Memorial visitation on Tuesday, September 24 from 10:30 am until time of Memorial Service at 11:30 am at the Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church with Rev. Keith Forkey officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Olivet Church, 500 Fairmont Pike, Wheeling or the Marshall County 4H and FAA Livestock Club, C/O WVU ext. Service, 126 Barn Drive, Moundsville WV 26041 or charity of donor’s choice.
