Floyd Dean Richmond, 78, of Moundsville, WV, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2016 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry, OH.

He was born April 4, 1938, in Glen Dale, WV, a son of the late Floyd and Helen (Klages) Richmond.

Dean was a Methodist by Faith, a US Army Veteran, and a former employee of Fostoria Glass and a current employee of Moundsville Krogers.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his niece, Jill Dalrumple and nephew John Waters.

He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Phyllis (McDowell) Rine Richmond of Moundsville; three siblings, Dale Richmond of New Martinsville, WV, Sue Waters of Middlebourne, WV and JD Richmond of Sherrard, WV; son, Scott (Laura Ann) Richmond of Chardon, OH; six daughters, Cindi (David) Bougher, Brenda (John) Lavenski, Teri (Jim) Hartle, Marla (Rick) Truex, Traci (Dean) Goodnight and Lisa (Bill) Williams all of Moundsville; three nieces; seven nephews; twenty-three grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren and many friends and family acquaintances.

A memorial gathering will be held Tuesday, November 1, 2016 from 9:30am until the memorial service at 10:30am at the Moundsville Baptist Church at 4th and Annadale Avenue, with a luncheon to follow.

Arrangements handled by Care Funeral & Cremation Service, 1500 Second Street, Moundsville.
