Evelyn E. Carroll, 94, of East Liverpool, passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at Calcutta Health Care following a lengthy illness.  Evelyn was born in East Liverpool on August 6, 1928, the daughter of the late Julius and Elizabeth (Barr) Theis.  She was a 1946 graduate of East Liverpool High School and lived in the area her entire life.

Evelyn married Robert E. Carroll in 1947 and spent the next 39 years making memories with him until his death in 1986.  Evelyn retired from Homer Laughlin China Company in 1990 where she spent 40 years as a Handler.  She was also a member of the St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in East Liverpool.

Left behind to cherish her memory are: her son, James M “Mike” (Randi Jo) Carroll, of East Liverpool; two grandchildren: Stephen M. (Ashley) Carroll, of East Liverpool, and Nina C. Carroll, of Parma, OH;  5 great-grandchildren: Reece Carroll, and Lucas Carroll, of East Liverpool, and Selassie Thedford, Nevaeh Thedford, and Roman Thedford, all from Parma, OH.

Along with her parents and husband, preceding her in death were: her son, Robert W. Carroll; daughter-in-law, Lauriel Carroll, and 5 brothers and 8 sisters.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 from 11AM-1PM at Care Funeral & Cremation Specialists- Martin Chapel, in Calcutta.  The funeral will follow at 1PM.  Evelyn will be laid to rest next to her husband in Columbiana County Memorial Park.
